Registered Charity No 1096812

Cuan House is a wildlife rescue centre run by its founder Megan Morris-Jones. It takes in sick, injured and orphaned wild animals, with the aim of nursing them back to health. On arrival, casualties are given First Aid in the form of Pain relief, Fluid Therapy, Warmth, treatment for Shock as appropriate. Any patients needing veterinary intervention are seen promptly by our local vet, who has been treating our wildlife for the last 15 years.
Once fully recovered, great emphasis is placed on returning them to the wild, usually back to the area from which they came so that they are in familiar territory. Up to 1500 birds and animals are admitted and treated annually, with almost 80% of those that survive the crucial first 48 hours being successfully returned to the wild.
Such treatment requires time, dedication and money. While some funding is gained through the financial support of the RSPCA, almost £45,000 is needed annually - this being generated by Fund Raising Events and Raffles (see Events and How to Help for further details) and by donations from generous, caring members of the public.
Click on the "Make a Donation" button on the sidebar to help our cause by donating with your credit card or PayPal account, using a secure server. A Bankers Order form is also available for more regular donations by clicking on Donate in the menu.
